The list continues with construction equipment category which includes compactor, roller compactor or road roller, pavers, spraying and plastering machines and other types of construction machines very often seen at construction sites.

Compactor – A compactor is mainly used to minimize the waste material or to compress the soil in the process as compaction. A trash compactor is used to reduce the amount of trash. These machines use hydraulics to move on the ground and are available in different sizes and shapes. At landfill site, a special machine called landfill compactor is used to move the waste. At construction site, three types of compactors are common: a plate compactor, the “Jumping Jack” and the road roller which is also known as a roller compactor. The first type has a vibrating plate and is mainly used for making a level grade; the jumping jack compactor compacts the soil in trenches for water and gas pipes. There are also compactor machines which are designed for residential use.

Roller compactor – The compaction of the soil is very important in construction. Removing and displacing the air between the soil particles is essential for preventing water and air penetration, or unwanted ground movement beneath the construction site. The roller compactor is a construction machine which uses its mass to compress the soil prior to building roads and various foundations. This machine is also known as road roller or simply a roller. Some models are even used in agriculture. The road rollers may have one, two or three drums depending on the type of compactor. These drums can be static or can vibrate and have dimensions ranging from 90 to 220 cm in width, and 60 to 180 cm in diameter. The roller compactor usually weights around 1 to 20 tons, depending on the type. Some road rollers use sand or water for increased compaction force. Regardless of the type, roller compactor are necessary at any construction site for appropriate compaction control.

Spraying And Plastering Machines – A spraying plaster machine enables the worker to spray walls with plaster or other materials faster than if done manually. These machines use not only the classic gypsum plaster, but also the premixed plaster which is organic. Using such material, walls dry faster depending on the weather conditions. There are three types of plastering machines which are commonly used at construction sites: a worm drive pump, peristatic pump, and a priston pump.

Paver – Better known as asphalt paver, this construction equipment is mainly used to lay asphalt on roads and other hard surfaces. Usually a dump truck is required to add asphalt material into the paver.
