Komatsu Excavators- The Newest PC138USLC-10 Excavator

Komatsu is well-known manufacturer of high quality construction machines and equipment. This tight tall hydraulic swing excavator has an operating weight of around 14 000-14 800 kilograms, and it is Tier 4 gas emission certified machine.

Like the other Komatsu excavators, this new model comes with a powerful SAA4D95LE-6 diesel engine that provides 94 horsepower. Thanks to this powerful engine, the new PC138USLC-10 excavator use less fuel when compared with other standard excavators. Designed according to the new Tier 4 engine platform, the new Komatsu excavators use an advanced electronic control system that manages the fuel consumption and injection, airflow rate, after treatment functions, and the combustion parameters. This advanced electronic system optimize the performance and minimize the gas emissions, while at the same time provides an advanced diagnostic capability.

A new flow turbocharger, high pressure fuel injection, direct flow air filter, and 16 valve cylinder head are also included in this new machine. The end result is complete combustion and precise air flow management. Like the previous Komatsu excavators, this new model is designed with contoured cabin that can be rotated within the same radius as the counterweight. The front swing radius is also minimized for efficient operation and better results in tight and confined areas. With the standard counterweight, the new PC138USLC-10 has the same lifting capacity like the standard Komatsu excavators but with increased versatility.

The cabin of this new excavator is designed with the standard equipment included in all other Komatsu excavators, plus new and innovative features that provide a quiet and comfortable environment for the operators. A ROPS cabin with sliding doors is specifically designed for this new excavator model. The cabin comes with ergonomically designed seat and controls that allow the operators to spend more working hours on the job site. A 7 inch colored LCD monitor is included in all Komatsu excavators. This monitor provides vital information for the operators. What is new in the PC138USLC-10 excavator, is that the operator can choose from six operation modes on the monitor, like economy mode, power mode, breaker mode, heavy lift mode, attachment power, and attachment economy. The new monitor in the PC138USLC-10 also includes eco-guidance and provides information about the fuel consumption and utilization.

Easy access for service and maintenance is what makes all Komatsu excavators a number one choice for many contractors. This new model has convenient and easy access on the upper structure. The hydraulic oil cooler and the radiator are placed side by side, making them easy for service and maintenance.
