We all know that chocolate is a sweet temptation. We reach for it after a dinner; when we feel sad or just because we have a sweet tooth. But, is it healthy? And which type of chocolate to choose in the sea of options? Chocolate, especially dark chocolate is a great source of antioxidants. It’s been proven that this sweet pleasure contains nearly four times more antioxidants than plums, grapes, apples and strawberries! This is due to the large amount of cocoa. Thus, your best option would be the chocolate containing 70% cocoa. Avoid milk and white chocolate as they have more sugar and fat.
Dark chocolate helps the heart, lowers cholesterol, enhances mood and takes care of your brain. So you will certainly not make a mistake if you decide to give a gourmet present of dark chocolate and other tasteful but healthy gourmet food.
